    A LITTLE ABOUT OUR PUBLICATIONS

Blouberg International School is more than a school – it is a community of diverse individuals and families, a centre for academic excellence, for some a home away from home and yet more importantly a family for all those that are part of it.
Our School is as diverse as the location in which it finds itself, our commitment to highlighting social injustice, the celebration of differences and the fostering of international mindedness goes beyond the classroom.

Go Bokke Go! – The Benefits of Team Sports

“Sport has the power to change the world” – Nelson Mandela
Team sports offer more than just physical benefits for students who participate, it also helps them emotionally and mentally. There are also the social aspects of team sports that students will enjoy.
Sports provide a platform for people to come together and support their country. International events like the Rugby world cup serve as a point around which to rally and show national pride and unity. We will back the Springboks win or lose. There is a certain togetherness, a camaraderie that total strangers can achieve simply by virtue of living in the same country and rooting for the same team.
Here are just a few of the benefits that students can enjoy when participating in team sport:
  • Develops self-esteem
  • Regular exercise
  • Teaches leadership skills
  • Teamwork
  • Stronger relationships
  • Better communication skills
  • Teaches respect
  • Time management

WATCH: Our students and faculty all rallied together last week to wish the Springbok team the best of luck in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f69gRB9Ftq8&t=1s
